Newtown plans to rock during (the entire!) World Cup. Every day from 11h00 - 12h00 there will be music and other performances. Make sure to take your kids to the Sci-Bono Centre or visit the newly-opened Workers Museum.

Somewhere hidden by the M1 freeway in Newtown, is a creative group of people working on the ultimate South African football supporter's branding if you like. Hundreds of makarapas (known as miners' hats) are carved and painted into creative and unique headgear by Newtown Projects. What a fantastic world cup keepsake!
